well guys i had picked up a 54 sedan actually,my inital thoughts were to remove the fresh rebuilt 308 2-H and fresh 2 lever hydro for my coupe. when i layed my eyes on the car it would be a sin to do so. the car has fact power steering and brakes. chrome has been removed but all is there and then some. car is in primer and has a great underbody as well as rockers. floor pans had patch work in small areas and should just pan each side. 12 volt system, would make a fantastic car for someone. i may do the car but i preffer 50 to 53 instead. any offers? i will try and get some pics for those interested, im in central wis

  • Sounds like the 54 that was on ebay couple of weeks ago. Same seller has a Jet as well. Would it be that car?
  • Sounds like a car worth saving. A two lever hydro?
  • I think thats dual range...
  • Or some wacky BW unit. Nah, you're probably right.

I bid on that car and they stop the auction without a good explanation. The ebay seller sounds cut throat.
  • The ebay seller sold me the car,i live a couple of hours north of him.he had his fathers collection of parts and what not. i ended up with quite a pile of parts to keep these going, im not sure what he explained about ending the auction but i stepped up to the plate and spent a good share of cash for the stuff.

I'm not siding with the seller, so don't get me wrong, but did he state that the item was available locally and that he reserved the right to end the auction early? Even if he did, it would have been polite to inform bidders when he pulled the car. IMHO, it would have been smart to let the aution run its course. Then, he should have listed the parts he had. Who knows, maybe he was in a hurry for some cash. Ah, the ongoing joys of ebay never end.
  • Yes i have noticed that, i think they started doing that about a year ago. as far as ending the auction, they should let people know that local sales may apply or evean as we see a buy it now.
