Back into the fray!

When I was 15, I bought a '49 Super Six for $50 and installed a 308 engine with Twin H power I bought from Warshawsky's in Chicago. I think I had less than $400 in the whole shebang.
What a ride that was!!
So, after a hiatus of 50 years, I am going to buy a '46 or '47 Hudson which I have always lusted after. It seems that parts are reasonably available but are parts for the 8 cylinder engine harder to find than for the sixes?

Welcome back to Hudson Mania!
There have been some other posts along these lines recently, you can use the search tool to dig up some more info. Performance parts for the 8's are almost nonexistant, but OE parts are available.
The eights are incredibly smooth engines, I can't wait to get working on my 46 Commodore 8 project again.
