The Jets use the same Fuel Pump as the Step Downs. Therefore you have two choices. The '72 - '88 AMC Six or the '72 - '80 2.3L Pinto Four (in two versions '72 - '75 or '76 - '80). The AMC Six pump is cheaper and more available, but requires a 1/2" spacer and outlet comes straight out the bottom of the pump which requires a new fuel line. The Pinto pumps does not require a spacer and the outlet comes out the side, but has a third fuel connection which has to be blocked off or used as fuel return to the tank to prevent vapor lock.0

Thank you Geoff and Mars55 for your input. I knew the 202 Jet engine used the same pump as the Step Downs 232/262/308 as an OE part and I am a 49 Super Six owner. But I was unsure of the after market application for the Jet. A good friend and club member ask me the question and I did not have a good answer for him!? The forum sure comes in handy for things like this!! Mars55 I have been involved in building a 51 Hornet Coupe with four other hudson club members and a few vendors for the past eight months (will post pictures later) where I have used the AMC style fuel filter with a fuel return circuit back to the tank. The stock Hudson fuel pump is being used with no electrical back-up. The car is 308 TwinHPowered, Silva six into one header , 700R4 transmission, 54 Dana 44 rear end with 373 gears and La Bud front disc brakes. The car is black in color and will be on the street soon!0
