Essex transmission

I've got a 1926 essex 2-door sedan. I need to know what type of transmission will enterchange with this model. Any information will be great help. piperaro@aol.com

    1924-'26 transmissions are identical and interchangeable. You can use a '27-'29 transmission as well, but will have to transplant the front shaft, bearing and cap. Alternatively you can transplant the entire flywheel, clutch and transmission from a '27-'29 Essex, but will have to use your original lid to mount the hand brake lever.
