I think it is in the Lake Tahoe area. The dogleg weatherstrip in the door curve, mounted on the cowl, hardens after 20 years or so. This causes rain water or water from washing the car to drip on the floor. It soaks the carpet, and causes the floors to rust. Back east, the salt on the roads cause it to rust,the opposite way up through the frame. Thanks for posting this , Jon!
