40 coupe (new memeber)
Does anyone know where I find the v.i.n. tag on my car?. I looked in the window, tried drivers door jamb an on the cowl but no success. I am also at the moment looking for front fenders for my car aswell. Did anyone see the or know anything about the 40 convertable that was for sale by jramsy427@msn, I think that is what his name was. Thank you for any an all help! This site has been a great help for me an I have only know about it for about a month I think. Hudson Utah

If the plate is missing from the passenger's side front door post (windshield post), look on the side or top of the frame on the passenger's side, just aft of where the front axle is located. It should be stamped in there (you might have to use a wire brush to clean off the rust).
You could also look on the rear axle housing on the top side, on the passenger's side of the car. Again, it is stamped in and you may have to wire-brush it.
For Hudson parts, you would do well to contact some of the 'regular' advertisers of Hudson parts, in the WTN (assuming you're an H-E-T member). Try working up one or two photocopied pages with dimensioned sketches or photos of the parts you need, and mail them to various Hudson vendors. You can also make up PDF copies and send them view e-mail, thus saving postage.0 -

Right on , -- Hedley is the one to contact. He has been a member like forever! He has been repairing/ restoring Hudson for many a year, so it is possible he may have stuff you need. Many a Hudson has pssed throught his hands, my 51 Pacemaker Coupe came by way of him. ( I bought it from the man who got it from him.
The chapter that serves you is the Western New York / Ontario chapter. If you are interested in joining send me a PM or email me with your address at HETjimreen@frontiernet.net (drop the HET) and I will send you a membership form. I am the secretary for the chapter
Welcome and good luck with your car.

Hi there! I checked my pillars an I checked the frame and I couldn't find an #'s located anywhere?. Is it hard to have a v.i.n. tag made or is it a lost cause?.... I would really love to put this car together but it a vin # is a problem I maybe should just find a more complete car. Well its kind of disappointing not having #'s, like I just wasted a bunch of money on nothing.... the guy I bought it from said it was a complete body just might be missing a couple stainless/chrome pieces. Just had to vent a bit I guess, Hope I have better news later this week. Till the next time keep em running Hudson0
