1948 Commodore Steering Wheel

I'm well into the restoration of a 1948 4door Commodore that my dad gave me. When he gave it to me I told him the next time he saw it , it would look like it just rolled off the showroom floor.

I have had all the chrome parts replated at Heartland Chrome. I have had all the woodgrain redone. Mechanically and electrically I'm done. Two things I need help with is finding a new steering wheel or someone that can reconition mine and finding three pieces of stainless steel. Two pieces 44 5/8 X 11/16 and one piece from the right fron fender 15 3/4 X 3/4. Is ther anyone out there that can help me?

One of the forum members, Ray, had his steering wheel reconditioned...this is from a post on another thread..

Rudy, forgot to mention and I know you were looking for a steering wheel, I had mine rebuilt, cost was a little expensive ($350.-) however it came out magnificent, just in case you want to find out more following is his name Lauren Mately and email is fixold@hotmail.com

Hey Jeff,

Larry Kennedy is reproducing the Commodore steering wheel, they are beautiful. I don't have his info handy,but Doug Wildrick of Wildrick Restorations can get ya in touch quick. Larry is part of the Indy Chapter. They are also the hiost chapter of the National this summer in Auburn.
