Anyone know where I can find the serial number on a 1940 Hudson Coupe? TIA.

    My impression was that they were on a plate on the right (driver's) side front (windshield) post. If not, I'd look on the engine side of the firewall. Other places Hudson would put them, was on the axle housing, right side, along the top (they were stamped in there and you have to use a wire brush or a file to get the rust off and see them). Also on the top of the frame on the pass. side, aft of the front axle just in front of where the body bolts to the frame.
