    Mike,

Dont know where there is a rare dual intake but Just a thought if your handy enough to make your own headers you should consider hole sawing 2 holes on each side of your original carb then bolt on 2bbl adapters readily available at swap meets making a triple duece intake. Linkage isnt really hard using 1/4 mild steel rod ; The center carb should be primary until 3/4 floored for other two. Pontiac 2 GC Carbs are my choice; Another suggestion is to just saw off your original carb base then hole saw/die grind larger hole for a 600 cfm 4bbl using an aluminum carb adapter plate from swap meets. As encouragement I have done all these conversions for my Hornets using only the hand tools but never ventured to build my own headers. Naturally flow may not be quite like a 'factory' intake but no matter which intake you decide to fabricate will still improve breathing & performance
  • i've thought about the single 4 route and it would be an easy do on this straight 8, but i do like the pics i saw of the 2 x 2's and this manifold would not work for either the 2x2 or the 6 pack without heavy mods and would most likely be easier to build from scratch .

i'm building my own headders because the only pics i saw of the 254 with headders had them go over the head and i do not like this look .

mike will exit the passenger's side just as it does now , but with outlets for and aft of the carb (carbs).
