GREAT RACE cars stop in Germantown, TN last night

Here is a photo of a red 1916 Hudson Speedster that I viewed last night during the 2 1/2 hour stopover here in Germantown, Tn.

NOTE: the home-made veh has an air-cooled Continental V12 w/6 huge carbs

(7 mpg), and this type of engine was put into Army tanks originally. This 4000 mile trip will cost him ~ $1700 in gas ALONE (East Coat to West Coast, the race), PLUS from home to East Coast, and from West Coast back home; TOO expensive for me to entertain!
