Anybody out there live near Ypsilanti, Michigan? The Auto Heritage Museum, formerly Miller's has a 1953 Hudson Hornet 4 Door for sale. It has been in storage for 13 years in a brand new 24-ft enclosed trailer. Ad says less than 50,000 miles, radio, heater, hydramatic, twin H, solid body, all chrome replated, stainless buffed, new interior, paint need touch up in a few places. Car needs to be assembled. Asking price is 11,000 with the trailer.

Sounds like a fair price. What color is it?0
-
It has been painted Blue0

Thanks. I though I might find something about it on their web site, but the account has been suspended. Do you have more info or pictures?0
-
No, unfortunately I don't. I have called the guy and he says that the car is strapped in the trailer along with all of the parts. From what he says it sounds good. However, when I asked for pictures he said that he didn't have any. He seems technologically challenged to some degree. I am thinking about sending him a disposable camera with a return envelope.0

For the asking price of $11,000.00, he should make a little effort and unstrap the car. Then, he should buy a disposable camera and shoot some pics which he can send to you. Or, is he hoping that some goof will take a leap of faith and spend that kind of money on an unseen car? Just plain old silly if you ask me.0

Believe me, Jack Miller is not technologically challenged and he already has a camera. The car is in an enclosed trailer, probably as received by the museum. Usually the museum is selling them on a consignment basis. The museum has limited space to unload the trailer, lay out all the parts and photograph them. Anyone who knows Jack would not question his integrity or his willingness to help fellow Hudson owners and promote the Hudson marque. Nor would they imply that he is loking to unload something on a sucker.
Sometime take a trip to Ypsilanti and visit the museum and see what Jack is doing to promote Hudson and the automotive history of the Ypsilanti area.

Take a chill pill. Nobody even mentioned Jack Miller, his business or museum.0

I was very interested in the trailer and heck I would even take the car in it. But thats a few too many states to travel across to check out a car with no pictures. Anyone seen what this car looks like or know anything else about it. I bought my Fiance a truck last weekend and this would be the perfect opportunity to see if it can haul a few pounds back home for me.0

Sounds good, provided that you don't melt in the heat wave between you and Michigan. :eek:0 -
I will have the A/C going the whole time and the truck came with the Air conditioned seats so I can try those out also.0
-
Ah, cooled seats...nice! But, the heat is getting worse. Here in the Midwest, it's going to be in the low 90's tomorrow and mid 90's on Sunday. The heat index is supposed to exceed 100 degrees. Probably less taxing on you and the vehicle to travel in the evening or early morning if you can. Have a safe trip.0
