I don't know what month the switch was made, but the flathead motor and horizontal grille indicates it's built like a 1926. The stained wooden floorboards are interesting.0

All '27's were F-head, but did have horizontal shutters.0

there is another Pioneer bodied Hudson, I believe it's a '26, that belongs to a Club member in L. A. - very different, unusual, and expensive. He has literature on Pioneer and photos of other Pioneer bodied cars - I remember most of the were Studebakers.0

there are several other interesting features: note the unusual "running" or parking lights mounted high on the cowl rather than on arms protruding from the cowl, AND, has a feature never used by any "regular" Hudson, a golf bag compartment, accessible from the right side.
Paul's Pioneer bodied coupe has the same type cowl lights & has a golf bag door too. His also has an exceptionally long sun visor that is part of the top, protruding, as I recall, 6" or more forward of the windshield.
This may have been built to sell in England so might have Lucas electrics - Railtons have Lucas electrics and beginning in '36, as I recall, have 12 volt systems. If this car has 12 volts may have been updated there.
Note the non-original dual later type taillights.0 -

I don't want to be picky, but the car is definitely a '26 model - rear contracting brakes, side valve motor, patterned fenders. the headlamps are the bullet type iused in late '26 production.

I don't why he calls it a '27 when in the ad he states that the body was built in 1926. Maybe it was first registered in 1927.0

Been in touch with Paul who has known of the car for some time. It was imported from Argentina some years ago.
He says it is "a mish-mash" of '26 & '27 parts.0
