"Wanda Nevada"

One of my buddies recently retired from being a movie prop man. He'd told me about the western movie he helped make (set in '50s but movie made in '79) "Wanda Nevada" as it was partially filmed where I live.

It was on the "Western" channel last night and the last scene has Peter Fonda & Brooke Shields driving off in a step-down convertible (had '48-9 dash but '50 side trim so not sure of the year).

Definitely a different movie but interesting to see once.

Part of the film was shot in Skull Valley, Az., a major scene in one of the numerous bars on "Whiskey Row" here in Prescott, "The Palace" (where big fight scene in "Junior Bonner" was filmed) & on the sidewalk in front of "The Palace". Most of the latter part of the film shot in the Grand Canyon environs.

I couldn't identify where the last scene with the Hudson conv. was done.

If this was her 8th film she must have been a child star as my buddy told me she was only 13 when this film made. Of course the movie that made her famous was "Blue Lagoon".

Early in the movie Fonda drives a very nice looking '51 Stude. hardtop.

She was a child star, first movie at I thinkat age 8, and by age 12 she played a child prostitute in a movie called Pretty Baby. She started modelling at around age 10 not much as a adult actress I met her when she filmed a movie called "Bob The Butler" across the street from my house. Smart girl bad movie roles.
