New project!!!
Hi guys, I am jazzed about my new project. This is what I believe to be a '31 Hudson coupe. I do have the doors, dash and rumble seat lid too. I also got the Oakland grille shell with it along with Oakland fenders and hood. My plans for it involve a 360 ford with a 3 speed and misc other parts that are coming out of the nieghbors old truck. I traded a rusty T coupe project for this.

Cool to see more 31s around, I see someone has already started playing with the chassis and has modified it at the rear,
I will be putting some pics next weekend of mine , I have the chassis all painted and the rack back in , diff is sitting there hanging on the Carrea coil overs but the 4 bars an watts linkage arnt back to tie it all in, so I cant put the 9' head in with all its weight, just had the trans painted a my work as well as the pedal box and booster , I supposed to have my new engine arrive down under from Edelbrock on the 16 th of August (435 hp), a day before I head off to Fiji, So arranging for my partner to uplift and paint so ready to go i as soon as i get back, I hate the waiting
I do have a 31 surround (essex) needs a it of work at ther bottom but rest is super solid , would be better than an Oakland and 2/3 of grill if interested

Now that you mention it, I wonder if it that is a Oakland frame too. The grille sounds great. How much would it cost and shipping to the US?0

Dont chop the roof or you will have to lay down flat flat with the seat in LOL
they seem to be a tall car but once the seat goes in there not a lot of head hight and thats coming from someone thats shortish (5' 7")
Looking cool

No plans for a chop. The door windows make it look chopped already.0

Looks really nice! Love it. I just made a deal on a 28 Essex Coupe body and doors only. When I get it home I'll measure and study and think about a frame. Getting excited after looking at yours. oldrodder430
