52-53 Hornet Parts
Cleaning out my garage and found following parts I purchased through Ebay auction that may be of some use to some of Hudson members.
Transmission TS 4482 A set/Conventional Replacing NOS 165613 Hudson 6-8 1941 -53
Nationl Oil Seal Part # 7037
Chicago Rawhide Oil Seal Part # 25950
I also have a factory rebuilt water pump and used 308 aluminum head.
I could use for 1952 Hornet replatable left/right front parking bezels, glass insert for interior (not large one under antenna).

Don't understand why I am experiencing difficulties posting message on street rods, therefore I am posting herer and hope moderator will assist with correction, problem being after I sign in with user name and password, even after I recieve welcome message I am immediately redirected back to start up sign in page requesting user name and password.?
Although my car isn't ready for interior, logistically I want to get a leg up and instead of installing Cadillac CTS leather seat already purchased on eBay I changed my mind and decided to reupholster the originals that came with my car. I stripped old ones down to metal frame, threw away all old cotton, burlap etc. Then l'll bring to bead blaster to remove lite surface rust, and rebuilding solid firm platform by tightening up springs, use new burlap, using firm foam shape seats and back's. Already purchased stripped material and ordered contrasting naugahyde.
Does any member have and want to sell front/rear intrior plastic door handles for '52 coupe, also curved piece of stainless in center of door panel, if not I hav some ideas of what to use however any suggestions maybe helpful?
Thanks,

Good Morning Bill,
Thanks for your input and recommendation: Factory rebuilt boxed waterpump, 308 aluminum head, heater housing & motor, front left/right windshields and a great deal of stainless trim (all of which I had professionally polished while being at Chrome Zone shop) were in the trunk of two ('52 & '53) Hornet coupe's I purchased and part of my deal last year. Believe me if I was going to keep Hornet engine in car I'd keep spare waterpump, and other spare parts in my trunk. However I've decided to replace all related mechanical parts (new Fatmanfab front clip, Chevy crated 350 engine, 9" Ford rear end, power steering, disc brakes etc.)
I am keeping/restoring the beautiful Hudson classic designed interior and exterior intact.
Alhough I am not ready for them yet, reference your reproduction pork chops, are they made with what looks to me with two inch extension that goes underneath the quarterpanel trim? Also will need plastic door handles good enough to reupholster, mine are brittle and cracking, do you have real good ones or is anybody reproducing, also need small curtsey light glass? I may take a golf trip to Palm Springs and stop by the ranch to pick up what you have, if not and your going to attend Laughlin meet (your always a VIP at meet) in November, I can pick up there?
Last question, I know you don't use them; I want to offer at fair market value, what would a good condition 308 aluminum head be worth?
Thanks,

there were NO PLASTIC INTERIOR DOOR LHANDLES ON THE HORNET. THEY WERE ALL CHROME, HAVE PLENTY OF GOOD ONES, yES pORK CHOPS ARE JUST LIKE ORIG AND DO GO UNDER STAINLESS BELT MOLDINGS. ALUM HEAD FROM 150 TO 225. sdil SHY AWAY FROM ALUM AND USE CAST IRON HEADS ONLY. THEY TEND TO CORRODE WHEN ELECTROLYSIS SETS IN, BEST BILL ALBRIGHT, GLAD TO HAVE YOU ANYTIME CALL AND LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU WILL BE BY0

Bill,
Thank you for return reply, I probably am not explaining identifying handles correctly (I have all the proper chrome ones, door, window and vent window already replated) I mean or meant the ones used to close the door shut which can be recovered with naugahyde, then screwed back into door panel and I thought lower handle portion was made with plastic? Noted and understand your aluminum head comments. Your right about original factory made pork chops, I hav my pai, but don't want to replate they were never made with high quality. Thanks for the invite, I haven't been to your Fontana Hudson Ranch since moving from Los Angeles and picked/purchased some parts for my '51 White Commodore (in fact one was water goose neck on top of head see picture's) probably will see you with shopping list late August or early September.
Thanks,
Ray0
