I will be speaking with the Mr. Young, the elder, Friday to discuss the cars in question.



Mr. Young, the younger, stated this morning that they are willing to sell them as full units, all together, at a decent price. I felt he meant, priced to move. Parting the engines, trannys and rear ends was balked at during our conversation.



As of now, it would require a three or four car hauler and truck big enough to pull the load. I do not have the required truck or trailer.



I do have a van and trailer that can handle the four engines, trannys and rear ends plus dash units and other parts.



Is there any serious interest (other than me) in forming a trust, LLC, etc...to save these cars/parts?



Of course, this all goes out the window if I hit the Powerball lottery tonight as I will buy every Hudson and part for sale!!!!!! Ah, the madness of it all!!!

The only reason I can see for the sellers not wanting you to part them there is the liability. If they were smart, they'd make money by having you sign a "Hold Harmless" and letting you part them where they sit. Then, they'd make more money selling the remaining hulks to the local scrap yard. Takes a tad longer but accomplishes the same goal. But, more often than not when it comes to parts cars in junk yards, you're stuck dealing with someone who's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I would gladly sign the paper. I have hands that can work and a willingness to help save our beloved Hudsons. I just do not have a bunch of $$$ which is why I am asking if anyone wants to form a trust or LLC to get these (or any others for that matter).

I agree with you about some people not being the sharpest knive in the drawer, BUT it reminds me of a fellow in Pa. who both his wife and him looked and acted the part of not being real bright till it came to cash, They carried a roll that would choke a horse and don't even ask about his car collection. Acually over the years I have meet several yard owners who were quite wealthy, but did not look like it. They are the smart one's.

You can't judge a book by it's cover. Here in Knoxville, there was an old man that always wore clothes that looked two or three sizes too big and talked hillbilly, raised mules, coon dogs and ponies. Hard to think of him as Mayor of Knoxville (I think it was 6 years), TV producer, Concert promoter, and Millionaire Grocery store owner " Cas Walker"
