Step Down fuel sending unit
Useing a tip from various Hudson Web sites, I ordered a 1936-56 Ford sending unit for our 49 from Mac's Antique Auto Parts in Lockport N.Y. Part number is 99A-9275. It arrived yesterday and looks like nothing more than a float arm adjustment will allow it to be installed. It is compatible with 6 as well as 12 volts. Total cost including shipping to Fl= $43.21. It had a Dennis Carpenter of Charlotte N.C. instruction sheet enclosed. Maybe buying direct from him would save some? Anyway..$43.21 seemed fair for a brand new part. Just thought I would let y'all know the information on these web pages are up to date.

I bought the unit right from Dennis Carpenter Reproductions last winter, and although I don't recall exactly, it seems to me it was just a couple of dollars less than this. I want to say something like $37 or so.
