I'm sure someone here collects this.My uncle tells me that my grandmothers

sister was featured in one of these and I'd like to try and locate one. He

thought it might have been on the cover(maybe not) and that she had a

fur coat and was standing next to her Hudson. Her name was Mildred Oesch

(maiden name) I have no idea if she was married then. My uncle was

guessing maybe between 52 and 54.

Any ideas where I would start searching or what the magazine was called?

  • I will take a look through my stuff and see what I can find.
  • Was Probably The Dealer Service Merchandiser, It Went Out Every Month To All Dealers. I Have Many Of These But Not A Full Collection Of Every Issue Although There Are Some Guys In The Club, With Complete Sets. They Sometimes Used Models To Advertise New Accessory Items, Bill Albright

Thanks guys,I really appreciate it. I'll keep searching till something shows up.

Really neat for me just to make the connection, and take a little trip down

memory lane. Seeing Bill mention models reminded me that my "aunt" Mildred

(wouldn't stand to be called "grand"anything) was always perfectly dressed

and quite the looker even in her later years. Quite particular and opinionated,

it makes perfect sense to me that she would've had a Hudson...

BTW it may mention that she was from Ohio

I got a full set of Hudson Service Merchandisers - 1949-1954 on CD - and on my hard drive. I get a chance I'll look thru them.

9 Aug - 7am - I've been thru all the Service Merchandisers from 1949 thru 1954 - bad news is I didn't find the picture in question. Good news is I did find some material I may be able to use in my General Information Handbook.
