I'm not sure if I got spammed or just got a personal greeting from someone with strong beliefs, maybe I'm just paranoid. This was PM'd through the Hudson forum, I thought I was getting a note about the Hash Anyway, I drained the hydramatic today, it looked like motor oil, fresh tranny fluid in and still no engagement of the tranny but I'll let it sit and give the clean fluids a chance to loosen things up. If not then we're off to the transmission shop. The engine is running sweet with the vacuum leaks fixed, purrs like a kitten, it sure would be nice if I could get it to move now.

Bill Albright, if you're reading this I plan on coming down Saturday morning, if you can have Edgar pull a couple of hood hinges for a 55 Hornet.

I don't even bother to open and read that stuff. I keep getting one, thru email, telling me I've got a greeting from a school mate. At my age I can laugh that off - the only school mates that would be sending me post cards would be coming from the great unknown above, since they've passed away. And there ain't no other school mates gonna send me a card, for sure.

Now about that $1.5 million somebody in West Africa wants to send me................

Me too, but this is the first spam I've got thru this forum. It's a small price to pay for all the knowledge & pleasure I get from the Forum.
  • I wrote him back and asked him to pray for my hydramatic.

Actually, if someone is using the private message system at Classiccar for spam, they can be tossed off the site. Does anyone want to pass along the name of the spammer so we can do this?

I got it yesterday, opened and deleted it. Richie.
  • Score another one for the atheist! I didn't get that one, guess he figured it wouldn't do any good anyway! lol

I didn't get it either. Maybe they just targeted evil Hudson sinners. :D

Did you guys actually get a PM in your forum messagebox - or was it just an email with a ClassicCar header?
  • Igot it also, and it was a PM. The sender was Buddha2 if you want to look into it JonB.

Looks like there is no 'Buddha2' registered here, so little we can do about it. (There is a 'Buddha" but he appears to be an authentic Hudsonut who joined the forum early last year...not the act of someone who'd come here merely to spam others.)

My apologies. There is a limit to what one can do, I guess...
  • I didn't get one either. Oh No!!! Does that put me in the same group as Hudsonkid, Dave 53-7C and JS Rail???? Actually i guess that is kinda selective!
  • Who needs a cow with all the BULL on here? This forum is not only informative, it occasionally gets light hearted and entertaining. Throw another log on the fire!!
  • I got the message as a window that dropped down on top of the thread I was watching. I deleted it without opening it and kept on. I've made a habit never to open that stuff just like all the junk emails I delete every day.

I see it also appeared as a PM from buddha2. I deleted that as well.

Behold, Hudsonkid is pure of heart and without sin. Can't wait to see what Hudsondad has to say about that. :D

YES, it does. And what a group it is. Like Santa, Buddha knows who has been naughty and who has been nice. :D

Don't bother to use the "Contact us" at the bottom of this "Classic Car" page. It's a joke. I've contacted them twice about a problem on this website and never got a reply either time. I think the link goes directly to their recycle bin!
  • What I want to know is Buddha2's true feelings about putting an oil filter on a Hudson engine...LOL
  • Does this mean I'm a sinner? Oh no, I guess I'll have to bury some chicken bones in my backyard and do a chant to get the hydramatic working. Buddha 2 didn't do me any harm, I was surprised to see his message in my pm box but I think he is sending his messages out individually hoping to get a like response,no harm no foul,it was just funny to me .

  • Been a fun day, but Jon don't knock yourself out trying to stop it, EBAY can't and they spend millions fighting this junk. I DID'NT DO IT !!!! But the guy who lives across the street from me is in the computer software makeing bussiness and he says we don't really want to know what he could do if he wanted to !!
