Getting somewhere

I finally have a reasonable amount in the Hudson fund, so i've been aquiring some more bits and pieces for it. Tomorrow I'll be getting some DECENT measuring tools so i can check everything up and know EXACTLY what will and won't need replacing in my 308. likely to be just about everything north of the crank. so far its all been measured with a digital vernier- hardly the last word in accuracy.

The first Saaty Meteor to go in my collection came across my desk today. They are a work of art! Just check the linakges to control the throttle butterfly and air/fuel mixture. It also came with the instructions- just as well! the gist of it is run it very lean and very advanced. if you dont like it so lean you can always just manually change the air/fuel ratio from the seat as you drive along.

Glad to hear somebody's making progress. My Hudson fund is just behind the Moving fund and the House fund, but slightly ahead of the moutain bike fund. I forgot to mention the Food fund and the School Clothes fund, which are actually on top right now.

    Keep us posted :)

  • Matt,
Has Billy Cox contacted you about joining the Smoky Mountain Heartland Chapter yet? I look forward to meeting you in Pigeon Forge, if not before then.

  • ports and valve reliefs ground and surfaces smoothed up to stop that pesky carbon from building. rather than do the full 7X relief i just worked the factory 55 relief out to the edge of the gasket on the intake side and just knocked the corner off the exhaust side. im trying to keep a good amount of metal there to keep the compression up. next step is finish collecting parts and send it out for machining
  • here's a sight you will hudson fans will like- NO MORE FORD IN THERE!

When is someone going to take the plunge and do a Chevy Impala with a Hornet engine in it? The vanity license plate would of course say "PAYBACK" or maybe "TURNABOUT." Hmmm ... this might make a good club project!
