I have a sales brochure on the “The New Hudson” which confuses me. It was published 10/47 and contains all the new stepdowns. Knowing they did not come out until the 1949 year did they always publish sale brochures that far ahead? It is not dated as to an automobile year ie: 1949 Hudson.

Does anyone have some background information?

Background: My love for the old girls started when my uncle was the Hudson dealer in Roxbury, New York. I knew they were HOT even then.

The new Hudsons came out in 1948.
  • It is a good thing you found this forum. I think you will learn alot about Hudsons.
  • You can do it with a '49, or even a '50 or '51 if you have an early grille on it!
  • Kent - glad to see you found this forum - and just to let you know I made it back okay.

I did "crash" a '48 and earlier meet once with mine- The meet folks weren't thrilled about the "technicality", and I didn't have much fun either, because I had the only custom car in the bunch, and how many duece coupes is enough?
