Selling a 1937 Teraplane: need info/advice

Hi this is my 1st time posting.

My landlady wants me to sell her Hudson perferably on ebay. I've sold things for her there before.

The car was her husbands who died 7 years ago. She is in her 70's & wants it out. (she's keeping the '53)

It's a 1937 Teraplane 71 deluxe Business coupe.

2-door, 6-cyl, green, hardtop. NOT Hot-roded.

It's in Rosters with a condition #2 rating.

She state that this rating is due to the less than perfect paint job...I agree.

It's 100% rust since it spent its life in Mexico.

No body work or filler anywhere.

It's tagged & drives fine.

I tried Google but....

Questions

1) Is business coupe rare or special? I can't find info.

2) What does the 71 mean?

3) What is this thing worth? top & bottom price.

4) I'm new to this forum, any help in pointing to info welcomed.

my email is t0nymann@hotmail.com

The 2nd character in "t0nyman" is the number zero.

1). Any coupe would have a value greater than that of a coach or 4-door sedan.

2). Model 71 means it is the cheaper of the two Terraplane models that year and will have less trim and a somewhat less powerful engine. It will have only one taillight, and the steering wheel is black not the 'banjo' type. It will have a hand choke, not automatic choke. And so forth.

3). Extremely hard to assign a value under the best of circumstances. Depends upon supply & demand at time of sale. Also difficult because of not being able to examine the car. From what you'd say, I'd guess low would be $4,000 and high would be $15,000.
