A good once over before our 2800 mi. vacation this summer.

Recent 2.25" inch duals with glasspacks sounds sweet. Also got a new

pinion seal, trans tailshaft seal, and a set of 1.5" lowering blocks out back.

Between the lowering blocks and the wifes luggage I figured we'd be

in taildragger territory. Truth is it just really leveled it out nice,no issues

at all on the trip. And geez, Hudson didn't leave much room for exhaust,

    did they?

A tidy garage is a sign of a sick mind!

Be reassured - things are not always as tidy as they might seem in photos - like, take a photo from this angle to block out the mess!

You... with all with your shiny cars and clean garages!

I can't wait to join you on that end but where's the "...hers and the dog?"

I've got a decent shop now but I started the 49 in Humble surroundings - my carport and gravel driveway!
    today1.jpg

Rambo, myself, and the 49 are much happier at the new home with the 22x40 shop - here's the boy gaurding the shop (and fuzzy toy :D )

Now the only thing left is to get the "Hers" portion of the thread title (for both of us! :p )

My shop - 38' x 65', on the foundation of my tornado-destroyed home. It has an 8' x 8' full bath w/shower, hot water, 220VAC (x4) outlets plus a 30A RV hookup inside, all wiring in conduit. Insulated walls, doors, and windows. Front porch is 24' x 12' and can be a carport, if necessary. Loft storage above the bathroom (8' x 30') for parts, plus two 8' x 4' x 6' industrial metal shelving (think what they stock goods in a Sam's or Costco on) underneath that. I have put eight full-sized cars and trucks, plus two small tractors in it and had room to maneuver around. Three 12' high doors, one w/electric opener.

Future plans include a two-post lift, more lighting, hard-plumbed compressed air, radiant heat, and a small kitchen!
  • Thats nicer than my house, If I built that my wife would move into it and I could park the Hash in the house. Very nice shop. I have an acre but half of it is taken up with horses. I do need to build a new garage for my wife's new car though, I could add some on for the Hash.
