The rear door seam on the passenger's side of this baby is especially obvious and ugly. :cool:

Sorry folks, just not my style. I wouldn't give $1,990 for it. Does look like some nice work and thought were put into it, its just like a Hudson convertible......I just don't like the look.

I've always thought the original Hudson pickups (and this one, too) should have started with a coupe or brougham body, instead of 4 door, to get the longer door. Would make the car more balanced, as well as more room inside and easier entry and exit. Hudson pickups are cramped, at best, if you've ever ridden in one.

The factory one was made form a Broham I believe. but of course there was only 1.

I am very familiar with this vehicle. Its in real nice shape. Solid with no rust and runs nicely. The rear windows are actually from the rear doors. Indeed the spare is behind the the passenger side rear door. This truck was most likely built in the early to mid fifties by a dealer or body shop. The lead work is really well done however it is showing its age. I've wanted this pick-up since I first saw it. However 19k is beyond my budget.



Besides the obvious fact this vehicle is a sedan rather than a coupe or brougham. there are a few other points that lent to the fact this vehicle was built by a dealer or garage.



the car is a 49 however the bumpers are from 50 or 51



the paint is not 49 colors



The factory would have fabricated a whole new roof line and rear window set-up most likey rather than splice a set of rear doors



Door panels have been chromed as well as some of the dash( looks sharp) but not factory.

Do you suppose the right rear door hides the spare tire? anyone ever seen the drivers side? does it have the rear door still evident
