Terraplane Club invite you to the
2005 Eastern Regional Meet
West Springfield, Massachusetts June 24-26, 2005
Theme: Honoring the families of the H.E.T. Club
This years’ Regional Meet will be held at the Best Western Sovereign Hotel and Conference Center, 1080 Riverdale Street, West Springfield, Ma. 01089
For reservations call the Best Western at 1-413-781-8750 before May 24, 2005. The room rate is $92.00 (double and single occupancy) a night which includes a voucher for a free full buffet breakfast. Be sure to mention you are with the H.E.T. club.
The theme for this meet is; “Honoring the Families†of the H.E.T. Club. The feature car belongs to the Hoffman family of Chicopee, Ma. Jerre and Pattie Hoffman own Jerre’s great-grandfather’s 1916 touring car. This car will eventually be passed down to their son Zack who is a freshman in college and very active in the Hudson club. The car was a candidate for the “Bill Albright Restoration Award†at the National Hudson Meet in Pittsburgh, Pa. last summer.
Some special cars on display will be Jim Digiorgio wonderful ’27 Essex Speedabout Boat tail roadster, Stig Ingvarsson’s ’41 Commodore 8 Convertible, Carl Weber’s ’35 Hudson 8 convertible and Dave Tuttle’s ’37 Terraplane. These are just a few of the beautiful vehicles we're expecting!
A barbeque has been planned for Friday night and a banquet for Saturday night followed by the annual business meeting. Area attractions include: The Yankee Candle Flagship store, Dr. Suess National Memorial Garden, The Indian Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame, Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Old Sturbridge Village just to mention a few. Brochures will be available at the Hotel so folks can tour on their own.
The Best Western is located off of Exit 4 from Mass. Pike (I-90) or Exit 13B off Interstate 91 to Riverdale St. (Rt. 5 south) The Hotel is 1 ¼ miles from Mass. Pike and 1/8 mile from Exit 13B. The hotel location will give folks the freedom to tour or walk to the many stores and restaurants very close by. All of the familiar eateries and stores are within a 5 minute walking distance. There is also a movie theater close by.
