NAV-BACK Problem Getting Worse!

I've been hoping someone would respond to the nav-back issue...it's been brought up several times recently by other users - not just myself!
I even included pictures and an accurate description of the problem..
But now it's getting so bad that I had to "Quad-Click" to get out of a thread because both ad regions had rotating ads that got added to the browsers history list so instead of 2 clicks it was 4 clicks to get back to the main list...
Please help me get the attention of the Webmasters to fix this problem again!

About midway down this thread I post pictures and description of the problem caused in the upper Ad area of the screen - it also affects the right Ad display area and as of this morning for the first time - I had this behavior thru both Ad spaces at the same time and had to "Back Click" 4x to get to the main thread...
Basically...The rotating ads are placing themselves in the browsers history list - so subsequent Navigate Back requests "Back Arrow" "mouse button", "what have you..." just rotates the Ad space and does not navigate the page back - which is what the expected behavior is in a web application.
Yes there is a "workaround" and that would be to just mouse to the link wanted at the top of the page - or a favorite link to the main Hudson page, but this is not how a web application is supposed to work - hence the questions and comments from users (not just myself) about the behavior.
But those suggestions are still just a workaround for the web application not behaving correctly and providing a poorer user experience.
I doubt the original thread is still around.... but I recall some initial skepticism from the webmasters and comments like "I should install Firefox, since there's not a problem viewing the site with that browser"
This "raised the hairs on the back of my neck" then there was some butting-of-heads some back and forth ~ then The Great Hudson Forum rallied and eventually a fix was implemented and all was well ~ but the issue has crept back into the site over the last several months and is now getting worse.
Just to clarify - this is a website-wide issue, it is not specific to the Hudson Forum alone.
Thanks

I love Firefox! I switched a few months back and have been thrilled.
Using Firefox is kinda like driving a Hudson instead of a Tri-Five Chevy...0 -
Yeah, I've been using Firefox for a long time and don't miss all the IE junk that comes with that application. I still just scroll up to the top and click on Hudson after posting to the list though, too many back clicks if making a reply.

Another Firefox user here...of course I also use Linux so I don't have any windows stuff running. Haven't been on windows for years.0

Ahhh.... Now I see what you mean!
I've been using Firefox for several months (no wish to go back to I.E.), and I hadn't been experiencing this problem. But when I opened this page in I.E., I noticed that one has to 'multiple click' the "back" arrow in order to get back to the start of a particular thread.
I'll contact our webmaster to see if anything can be done.
One of the reasons I prefer Firefox to I.E. (well, ANOTHER reason, now that I see this latest problem) is that Firefox 'remembers' me without any prompting. When I go to the Hudson chatroom I don't have to fill in my name each time, it just ushers me right into the room!0 -
I switched to Firefox abbout six months ago and am not experiencing any of the problems mentioned. I'd never go back to IE, ever!0

I'm so happy for all of you who installed Firefox
However 90% of the web surfing world still uses some flavor of IE.
Jon - Thanks for checking into further.0 -
Considering Firefox Mozilla is free, and it runs so much better than IE, why everyone wouldn't download it is a mystery to me.
To each their own.0 -

I am running a 286 computer and am also considering moving up to a 386..Are there any suggestions anyone has for me?

Okay, I now have the word from On High that they are going to look into this problem. It seems (as Rambo correctly guessed) that they fixed it once, but after they re-did the header, the problem returned.0

Question of you guys in the know - does this issue have any relationship to the speed of downloading each page? I am finding opening thread pages takes a looooong time to load each time which is also very frustrating. I am running IE7 so if not related is there a setting that may need changing. I am on broadband with a speed of 2026.4 kilobits / 248.3 kilobytes per second so the speed test tells me!0
