So, I ordered my trans mount from KGAP a few minutes ago...
I screwed up, should have done it priority, but clicked away too fast. Anyway, if you haven't tried it already, the checkout feature for KGAP, using paypal is awesome. I can't imagine how much easier it would be to order hudson parts. I personally feel everyone should click the link, and give it a try...
But seriously, let me say, that sometimes trying to save some time, by trying to make something different work, is not worth it. I needed the trans mount ASAP a while back, and tried to make something work that was not meant to work. Now a good month later, here I am, car is still not back together, and it sat for the better part of the summer, without being driven. What fun is that, all over a few days wait and a couple of bucks...
Anyway, live and learn. I hope to rewire this weekend, get the old mount out, which will be bad, for sure, and get it ready for a new mount. Hopefully, I can get a couple of nice trips out of the hudson before it goes away for the winter.
All the best!

I have the opposite problem, I can't wait for summer to go away so I can start driving the Hudson again! Although it's not too bad today, only 101F...0 -
Come live in Australia, we drive our cars 12 months of the year.No need to put them away for winter and don't really get tooo many hot days that we can not drive them, don't ever remember not driving them in the heat of the summer.0

Is the transmount for a hydramatic?
Russell0 -
nope, standard trans...
they do have hydro mounts. Click on the link in my signature on my post here, it will take you to the online catalog.
Hudsondad ordered a set a few months back, they are terrific. To put it into perspective, hudsondad NEVER found a set at any car show, ever, so it is of a wonderful service that KGAP makes these available. I don't know what else we would do without KGAP. If you are looking for later Hydro mounts, for Hash, I think Paul Schuster has these available....0
