Jet horn button
I hate to ask this question, because after restoring 3 Crosley's frame up, and almost all of a Hudson Jet, You think I would have a little mechanical know how. But how do you get the center plastic piece out of the horn ring without busting it?? I am trying to get the turn signal asse. out of my parts car to put in my good Jet. I don't want to destroy a good part that I could use later or somebody else might need. please help!
Thanks, Barry Smedley

Barry - the plastic center comes off of the wheel with the horn ring. You do not have to remove the plastic center from the horn ring to access the nut that holds the wheel on the shaft. Simply press down on the horn ring and turn to the left - the horn ring assembly will come off in your hand

Thanks! I figured there was a trick to it. Another question, If the relay on your head light switch was bad and the lights went out would you lose your dash lights too?
Thanks, Barry Smedley0 -
If I understand the wiring diagram, the instrument lights will not be effected by the main circuit breaker on the headlight switch. The headlights may go out, but you will probably still have instrument lights as well as tail and license lamp lights.
