    Why couldn't it be a 308. The one on the dolly is.

    looks like a 262 to me....He also claims overdrive.... doesn't look like it....

    It's just a little bit of initial speculation on my part, but I don't think that it's a 308 because one of the heater hoses goes into the top of the head between the #4 and #5 spark plugs. I think if it was a wide block the heater hose would be attached to the right side of the head, to the rear of the carburetor. That's correct, isn't it? Also, where's the overdrive relay?

    He has changed the ad to reflect new info. Lots of these sellers are not up to speed on these cars. So of course we send them lots of email to tune them up LOL....

    The seller has updated the ad by adding a note that the engine is a 262 and the model is a 492. The overdrive relay is the yellow box to the right of the horn in the picture of the engine compartment.
