Looking at Clifford's Website, www.cliffordperformance.net, and they're currently offering Hudson headers at a pretty good price. Has anybody had any recent experience with them as far as quality, fit, longevity, etc. ?

Called them to verify website contents and they state it is current and accurate. They also offer the engine head and four-barrel intake manifold.........

I recently installed a set of their new headers, and they seemed to fit perfectly. I like them because both pipes exit comfortably next to the block, unlike some of Cliffords earlier headers which reached out past the cross member and required cutting the fenderwell. They are basically the 'Block Hugger' design that most manufacturers offer these days. They really look (and work) great. The only minor complaint I have is that a little bit of the black powder coating I'd ordered on mine has come off, but it's not really that bad. I've got a few thousand miles on them, and for the most part they still look new.
  • Got two both bolted up great. They had a problem with the early run of these shorty headers but they fixed that it was a problem with the flange. Its a good deal and if you get them powder coated its still cheap.
  • I Have A 54 Super Wasp That Has Been The Eternal Work In Progress.it Has The Clifford Headers On It But They Are Just Painted.will The The Powder Coat Hold Up To The High Temperature?i Have To Put The Center Floor Board Back In Yet And It Looks Like That Is Going To Be Awfully Tight To The Floor.any Tips Before I Put It Back In?

    Thanks

  • I can't comment on the fit, as my car still has the factory manifold. I do know this was an issue with some of the earlier Clifford products. The powder coating though, is made to hold up under severe conditions like exhaust heat, etc. That's my understanding anyway...Good Luck, Bob
  • Yup its high heat powder coating. And I have factory Twin H and the single carb manifold it fit to both of them.
