new reprod 41 to 47 front fender lights
Just To Advise All Members, I Am In The Process Of Negotiating With A Large Company To Reproduce 100 Sets Of New 41 To 47 Fender Lamps. I Am Not Sure Of The Final Price Structure, But They Will Be Top Quality And We Wont Have To Settle For Pitted And Replated Ones With Pits And No Details, Expect To Have Sample In 6 To 8 Weeks. Let Me Know How Many Are Interested Out There, Please, Thanks, Bill Albright

BILL, not to steer you away from anything, but if this does'nt work out you do know KGAP has the means to make castings don't you ? I talked to them at the nationals and they need a model or a GOOD original of anything wanted. He's in need of a model or good original for the trim on the cigar hood ornament now. A lot of the ones out there have warped. Bud0

I'll take a set!! can't find nice unpitted, not polished out ones.0

I don't own a 46-47 Hudson. Maybe some day I will. I just want to let you know that I and many other Hudson owners appreciate what you are doing for our Hudsons. Keep up the good work. When you want to have something reproduced for a 48-49 let me know. I would probably buy one even if I did not need it.

Bill, will these be the same size as the originals? I know that when you have something cast from an original part it will be a little smaller. Was this shrinking adjusted for? Also, I was wondering what these will be made of and if they will be chrome plated or not. Thanks!0
-
I Wont Know Percentage Of Shrinking Until I Rec A Sample. They Will Be Done In The Same Metal As Originals And Yes Chrome Plated, Ready To Install.0

Well I would prefer to see them at more like $200. You could put me down for a set, however I won't be able to take them until Aug 2008 as I'm in Romania until then but I'll definately buy. Also Bill if you need assistence for the Repro project talk to Chicago-Milwaukee Chapter President as we have some funds set aside from our national with the thought that they might help the largest number of Hudnuts possible with a Repro project.
Heck a set of trunk hinges for '46-'47 that aren't pitted would be nice to have too. (darn pot metal.)0 -
Thanks For Info Aaron, But, I Will Take The Full Risk And Hopefully Some Profit On The Project.. Just Hope Members Take This Into Account Considering The Final Price. Bill Albright0
