Interesting,

I was channel surfing last night and came across a TV show which was a Krause car auction. I was surprised at some of the good prices on there. Anyway, the classic car dealer Hyman LTD sold a Gold colored 1950 Brougham coupe at no reserve. It looked to be a very nice car. Didn't say if it was a Commodore or a super six. It only went for $14,000. They interviewed Hyman and he said the bidder stole it as he had $20K in it. He probably did as it looked pretty nice on TV. Not often you see Hudsons sell on TV so I thought I'd share.

Niels, Don't feel too sorry for Hyman. He cleaned up off one of our member s who dealt with him. The man had a beautiful car and was unsure about taking it to one of the big auctions. It would have sold easily. Hyman bought it and took the older gentleman "to the cleaners". He then flipped it and nearly doubled his money. Funny thing was it DID finally go to one of the big auctions. I'm not opposed to someone making some money , but be honest with people. The older gent got far too little for what he had. He's shakey as far as I'm concerned. He recently has been running ads in the WTN wanting convertibles.

Lance, wonder if Hyman paid for club membership to run those adds!
