Small world.

I thought this was a pretty neat thing. I went to Wendys for lunch today and was driving my Hudson of course, when after taking my seat a woman came over to me and asked if the Hudson was mine. I answered yes it was and about then her husband came over and they sat at the table next to mine. They asked several questions about the car and we struck up a good conversation. It turns out that their names are Mr. Jones and Bee Bee Jones and their 1st cousin is Herbert Bell. We had a very nice conversation that I enjoyed. Very nice people. Sometimes it really is a small world. Richie.

A week ago or so at lunch, I was talking with a stranger while we were waiting in line to place our orders. I mentioned that I had a Hudson. He asked what year, and said that he had a 52 Wasp sedan at home that he bought new. We had a good conversation, but he wasn't interested in HET, or in fixing or selling the car. Too bad.

He said it's sitting because his wife never liked it. Grandkids broke a window while it sat.

His wife never liked it so he's kept it for 55 years. LOL Maybe he's hanging on to the Hudson in the hope it will outlast his wife. :D
