  • cant wait bro, tell me how fast did that 1935 hudson 8 really go
  • Here is the photo HETrs
  • Slightly bigger

    thanks for your patiance
  • What' that wagon in the front line?

    Harry
  • It's a Australian Assembled 1964 Rambler Classic Cross Country 660 wagon, few of these AMC products owners here also own HET products. Many travelled over 1000 kilometers to attend this meet, there for left their older HET at home and travelled AMC. A lot of stories came out during the trips alone of just getting to QLD. The rally went for Sunday to the following Saturday.

  • Looks like a real good gathering to me. I guess a 64 Rambler isn't too far removed from a 55 Hash which is only a step away from a stepdown. It seems you have a strongly motivated club in Oz for so many members to show up and come so far. Congratulations on what appears to be a great get together.

  • Thanks for your kind words, with 65 entries we had 64 that arrived. The number of cars here shown is around 45. The photo was taken on the last day of the rally. During the week we had 2 x 55 Hornets, 1 1919 Essex speedster, 1 1926 and 1 1927 Essex sedan leaving early. The were 3 break downs that did not arrive at all but the drivers still arrived, but continued on their trip to QLD from the southern states of Australia. On the photo shoot day, again 2 broke down and did not make the photo. There were many new comers here but many regulars unable to turn up. I think with'n 10 years we may break the 100 mark of HET and Nash & Ramblers.

I will post more photos onto the web site as soon as I can work on how to downsize them. I have over 440 photos of the rally alone.

  • dont tell me andy broke down! i dont see a yellow 55 in there
  • No he didn't actually breakdown, he left early on Wednesday. George Ross also left on Wed in his 55 as well. And me, well my 55 was still in Sydney...it will be here in Queensland on the 27th this month, 3 weeks late for the rally. My brother Jeff was anable to attend the rally in his 56 Hornet while my step father trailed the family's 28 Essex up while leaving the 57 at his home in Sydney.

That is a total of 5 extra Hashs that could of made it in that photo shoot.

The only hash was Harry Moreland's 57 Hornet V8.
  • Almost a chronological lineup! Looks good, gents! I think the AMC products ought to be allowed to enter the US Hudson meets (hint hint!). You Aussies are on to something there!

Arrived home from the rally mid day today after covering just over 1500 miles, I was one of the AMC owners to drive our newly acquired 1965 Rambler Classic Sedan rather than our 1942 Hudson Brougham, would rather keep the low mileage on the Hudson, which has just clocked 27K, had a ball all week, looking forward to all the stories to come out of the weeks activities.

Thanks to all who contributed to a magnificent event, and the company of our Hudson Family.
