I'm a little puzzled about something. In the under hood photo, what do you guys think that cannister-like thing is hanging under the right horn is? Is that what one of those Marvel Mystery Oilers looks like?

And another Hudson "Commander" surfaces on ebay. I recall one, tho I think it was older, that showed up a few years back.
Very, very rare Hudson built car - not many known to exist. hehehehe

The "Commander" was a rare model, a joint venture with Willys-Overland I think. The later models were 4 wheel drive
I have seen a few Hudson "Commanders" in Hot Rod magazines. How come they always rod the rarest models?

Hey - I know that car pretty well. It has 20k ish original miles on the body, C8 sedan. The frame has issues behind the rear axle. It did have most if not all of the trim, most in very nice condition.
Original color was black. Drivers door was sold to a HET member after a fender bender.
Sat in poor storage the last 20 years. This one was slated to become a truck in the big-dreaming days:)0 -

This car was for sale in Connecticut this summer. I called about it. Current owner said it came from New York state. That it had sat in a barn for years. No motor no drivers door. It didn't sound good so I never went to look. Now I'm glad I didn't waste my time.
Was asking $1000.00 OBO.0 -
Yup- It is a serious project. Good for parts or for rod proejct. Too much work for a restoration... There was an 8 cylinder engine with it, maybe it got sold for scrap.0

Well, it casts a ragged shadow. It could be re-furbished for a good driver. I have a door, engine and tranny for it. I see the clutch is in the trunk, maybe the other stuff is in there.0
