Starter Compatability Question

I'm trying to determine if a starter used in a '48-49 Commodore 8 is the same as the one used in a '49 Super Six. Both cars have manual three-speed transmissions.

    yes,there should be no problem at all. note that the pacemaker starter also fits but the motor is smaller

    Starter MCL-6006 is used for all 1948-1950 except Pacemaker.
