Help! Somebody buy it and put a Hudson power plant in it. They won't even talk to ya at a non-rod car show is it's not powered by Hudson.
I've already got 2 of them or I'd go for it.0 -
Must be sold; the ad on Craigslist has expired. Where was it located?0

Gee, Annandale.... I wonder if that's Gary Caltrider's car? One of our local chapter members, Ed Weincek, converted a coupe into a pickup maybe ten or so years ago, using a bed and part of a derelict pickup he found. After the elderly member died, this teenager bought Ed's old Hudson with plans to soup it up, but apparently he changed his plans.
If this is that truck, it's of course not a "real" Hudson truck but because it was converted from a coupe, the doors (and thus the cab) are longer than normal, and there's so much room to 'stretch out" inside that our late chapter member actually installed the spare tire behind the seat! So, as something to just drive and enjoy, it wouldn't be a bad bet.
Again, this is all "if" the vehicle is indeed the one once owned by our late member (and a true character, known and appreciated throughout the D.C. region by antique car afficianados!) "Mr. Ed" Weincek of Annandale, Va.0
