Optima 6-Volt Battery Disguise
I recently purchased a case to disguise the Optima 6-volt battery
in my 40 H. The battery case is from Gary Osko at http://quailservices.com/. 951-737-1766. Gary is in Corona, California. The battery decal is available from Dany Spring at K-Gap. Please note that Optima no longer makes the yellow-top deep cycle 6-volt product, but the red-top has the same dimensions and is new & improved.

The battery fits in the case like so.:cool:0

It makes a neat installation. It had a lot of admirers at a recent mixed-marque show.:cool:0

New 6-volt cables are from Dave Kostansek. Having the right size cables and clean connections throughout are critical to 6-volt performance. The battery is set back in my car because of the flip-front hood. The original battery was lower-profile. :cool:0

That is awesome. Optima batteries work great, but aren't "period correct" as far as appearance. That box is a great solution.
