I second that and give thanks and condolences to those families who lost loved ones who were in service to our nation.0

It's Rememberance Day in Canada. We are fortunate to enjoy so much each day, this old car hobby being just one example.0

A moment of silence for those who still sleep where they may have fallen and didn't come home.

Thanks for all the kind words. I have a lot of respect for all of those who currently serve. Freedom has never been free. The price is expensive--one only need to stroll through a national grave yard and see the price for the freedom we love.
Thanks to all those who have served!

Indeed, thanks to all who have given of themselves to defend the freedoms we all enjoy. In the morning I am going to do something very special. My oldest grandson Caleb, who is eight, has asked me to sit with him for their school's honor a veteran program. Caleb asked me to come and bring my uniform and tell the rest of the children about my time in service. This will be a very humbling experience.... and one I am looking forward.
Blessed be all who have, will and are serving in the US military. Doing this service is without equal, but, as General Curtis Lemay said of the Strategic Air Command, Peace is our Profession. Peace is what I hope will come again as we honor those who are defending us and other’s right to PEACE.
Best to all

My brothers and I (the Sergeants Bloom) are together sharing a beer, telling our Cold War and Gulf War (the first one) stories.
We have been lucky and not lost any of our close friends even in the current theater of operations.0 -

Thanks to all, past and present.
I heard this on the radio today...the first time I recall hearing the story about Francis Scott Key and the words to our National Anthem. Powerful stuff.
