There may not be that many of them, but we've all met car guys (usually newbies and maybe a few millionaires) who don't know value. If they have the money, they'll pay though the nose to get what they want.0

All this is right on top of what's hapening these days, What gripes me is that not always, but usually the moneybags just look at and show off what they have, while the rest of us want to drive and REALLY get something out of them0

Ie got a twin H set up I think is all complete except for the air cleaners - Id trade it for the right body parts . think I'll go with a 2 BBL carb0

Wow, are things getting out of hand or what? I guess this is the world of ebay, bidding to get something for way to much money because someones afraid another one won't be there next week. If this is a sign of things to come I hope nothing breaks on the Hash.

Remember, we just slipped those last couple twin-h set ups in the garage. Cars are much more difficult to hide! I don't think she saw that nice Edmunds aluminum head from last month at Carlisle either.0 -

When my Dad was a lad of 6 his Dad bought him a minature shetland pony. That lil cuss was about knee high to a full grown man. After paying for the lil guy, Granddad put the pony behind the seat of his 20s model Dort and drove home... funny to see your picture... brought Dad's story back to me.0 -

and that's sad, I think Hudsonmom would have appreciated that edmunds head. It sure was a beauty. I know she never seemed to appreciate the transmissions or engines in the family room. Surprised that hard wood floor wasn't trashed... :eek:0 -
I think HudsonFamily needs a little together time so HudsonMom can appreciate the all the family additions that have come her way while she was preoccupied with other business. I only build airplanes in my living room so there aren't any transmissions on my hardwood floors. Of course I also carry mules in the van so that is a risk of something on the carpet that is almost as hard to get up as tranny fluid. It is green though so not so bad in a turquoise van.

Ken, that's Mac, my miniature mule, I had to get him a school function and my horse trailer was down so I pulled out the back seat and told him to jump in. I should build a miniature trailer to pull behind the Hudson, though I'm not sure how to put a hitch on the continental kit.

I bought the 50 Super 6 because if it didn't run, with selling the twinH parts and visor alone - I could have gotten nearly 1/2 of my investment back and had the sheet metal parts for the 49 (and then some)
If I had enough money and time, buying up old Hudsons to fix, sell or part out would be a fun full time job!0 -

Dan, we need to ask Bill A what it's like. He not only has a yard full of Hudsons he gets to work with his grandson every day. He's a really nice young guy who is getting a world of experience working on classic cars. I got the same experience when I was his age but they weren't classics in those days. I can remember when Bill first set up his shop, I drove by it every day and wondered who would be collecting Hudsons. Now I know, a really smart investor.

What you need to do is check the box marked "Remember Me?" when you sign in. Then you will not need to sign in everytime.0 -
Mars55, I've been checking remember me as I thought that was the problem, it still happened this morning when I tried to reply to you. This time though I signed in on the upper corner instead of in the big center box, maybe that will make a difference. Still chasing problems with the carbs but I changed the timing and that seemed to make a difference. It may be time to change the timing chain and gears, unless I just accidentally moved the distributor and changed the timing while working on the carbs. I don't think so but I may have.
