Ok, here are some pics of our car. we have found out alot about it so far but have alot more places to research. Any info anyone has will be appreciated. Of course it has has some modifications over the years and we have talked to some of the people who have made alterations. Talked to Charlie Ruvolo who used to own the supposedly only remaining 49 pickup prototype (and sold it two years ago for $50,000.00. and he said his rear windows are two panes, and without seeing ourrs, said ours was a single pane which would not make it original. But, guess what, ours has two panes actually made out of the rear windows from the cut off doors of the Commodore, and the bottom part of the door still opens to hold the spare tire. It lived most of its life in N. Calif. (and is back home now cause that is where we live) but went to New York, wyoming and Conn. ,where we bought it.

  • I could not say if yours was a factory prototype or not. But consider this: If the prototypes were produced in either 48 or 49 , then why would this vehicle have a 1950-1 rear bumper and steering wheel? Just an observation. It's still a nice Hudson factory or not.
