Full-sized Doc Hudson Replica

Here's an interesting website (Gunnar Racing) with photos of the Doc Hudson replica they built to promote the movie "Cars". This car now resides (for the time being) at Hostetler's Hudson Auto Museum in Shipshewana, Indiana, and those who attended either the H-E-T National or the Oct. 5 opening of the Museum, had a chance to see it. The car is actually built of a composite material but sits on a racing chassis. Paul Newman himself ("Doc's" voice in the animated movie) has driven the car at speeds in excess of 165 mph! (No, it doesn't have a 7X engine, sadly...)
Here are photos from the car's debut in Charlotte, NC, 2006: http://www.gunnarracing.com/Misc/hudson/Hudson-may2006.htm
And here are photos of its construction:

When I showed him mine in a "E" mail over a year ago, he said it looked better than the [then replica]. This one is great. Mine is two toned and not smiling, but I get to take the eyeballs out and drive it around like a regular Hudson, and still get called " Doc " by all the kids. My 38 year old gets just as big a kick outa the attention as the thirteen year old, and her freinds , who made the eyes for it last year:).0
