Hudson Rear Axel Bearings 48-5? Mfg.by L&s Bearing

Comments

  • Are these 25877T? if they are the T type tapered bearings that fit the 48-52 Hudson rear end if they are 25877 these are available at most bearing suppliers.
  • It's listed as 25877, NOT the tapered bearings. He mentions the number at least twice in the auction. He claims these are "discontinued and very hard to find"...not around here, anyway!

The auction has been ammended in response to a buyers question to state they are 25877 (ie parallel bore cones) for the later back axle.

    Is that correct?

Don't all stepdown back axles used the 25877T bearing, its only the diff centre that changed between the early and late rear ends?

No, the late 1952 thru 1954 dana diff, used a straight or non-tapered bearing on the axel. Number 25877.

I did an "ask the seller a question" Saturday or Sunday, and its good to see that he cleared up the confusion. He did have the non-T part number in the ad, but hard to know if he was just hoping no one would notice, or it was an honest mistake.
