New Sub-Forum here at "Hudson"

Effective Immediately, we now have a new Hudson sub-forum called "Discussions".



All threads containing opinions, controversies, arguments, polls, accusations, or other themes not directly relating to Hudson technical, historic or other subjects, will be posted here. If a thread starts out in the 'regular' section and then starts to get "off the rails", the moderator will (at his pleasure) simply transfer the thread to "Discussions".

It was a good move, and I bet all you guys will miss it. I saw a bunh of you guys saying how much you don't like it, peeking in anyway, reading threads. At least you got to meet me in real time, Bill, and you know I actually am a bit more reserved in real life, and not the same on line as I am otherwise. I actually looked at it as kind of meeting one of the hudson giants, meeting you!

Hudsonkid's BS is the kind of nonsense that clutters an otherwise useful resource if you are seriously interested in restoring and driving the Hudson automobile.



Kid, and with firm emphasis placed on the word "Kid", you are just running up the number of your posts so it looks like you actually know something and are making a contribution. You're confusing effort with accomplishment. I've watched you post reams of stuff and never let go of an idea. I have a suggestion for you although I'm sure you already know everything. You can log more posts if you just limit your comments to Yah!, Right On! or even Go For It!!!. These would be as just as effective as what you are now saying and will save both you and the reader a lot of time And, in no time, you will have a three or four thousand posts to your credit.



You have now been wisely relegated to the corner which is where you belong, I still can see that you just don't get it. Why don't you do the grownups a big favor, get in touch with your emotions, grab a tofu sandwich and just hurry on right out there and get yourself a life?



You have already posted 4 times on the announcement thread and I have yet to see anything that remotely resembles a constructive comment. You're becoming pretty obvious. You need to grow up, join the real party or find another Forum that where you can be Ruler, and not the irritation you've become on this one, Kid.

This is my final words on this.... If you got a problem with me, any of you, start a post, either in my forum (see main page) or above, in discussion, PLEASE. Call it problems with hudsonkid, but be prepared to defend what you post.



Jim, I find your post pretty nasty, and it really shows what kind of person I hope you are not.



Anyway, please check the body of my posts, here on this forum, and then tell me that I have not contributed to the membership. I doubt you will, since it would surely make you look like a liar, here.



Quite frankly, I would offer the idea that plenty of people have benefited, considerable from my assistance, help, and hard work in many areas. What have you contributed? It isn't a numbers game, but at the same time, I will answer you back and defend what I think are unfair and inaccurate statements, if it takes me a thousand posts.



What makes me even more so displaced, is the fact that I have on many occassions, done a lot to either help Bill A get pictures up on the forum, steer people in the right direction to his parts, and services, and various other things, and he offers less than flattering comments. I have even hosted, on my personal website, many shots of his personal business, and of his 53 hornet convertible, to share with the rest of the forum.



I would have preferred him saying something a bit less condescending, but oh well.



As for you, I don' really care how you feel, you pretty much summed it all up in your tone of your post. But at the end of the day, I would never hold it against you. I believe everyone deserves a second, third, fourth, fifth chance. As many as it takes.

Remember, at the end of the day, the same rules don't apply to hudsonkid. He doesn't talk like this to any of you guys. I might not post popular topics of discussion, or even things that many of you are comfortable talking about, but if nothing else I sure am a lot more respectful to the group than many of you have exhibited to me, and quite frankly, I think that is sad. If I would post anything even as remotely close to what you guys have posted in the past couple of days, I would definitely get a warning, or worse maybe banned.



So feel fortunate, that the moderation is different for many of you. I got a tighter set of rules and guidelines I need to follow, and Honestly, I try very hard to behave, and I'm fine with that.



Sometimes, it would be nice to have Lew or Jon B step in and maybe warn you guys for your tone or posts on the forum, but hey, I don't complain about you guys, I'm a big boy, and can fight my own battles.



One more think to consider, I didn't start most of the threads that caused a mini forum meltdown, check out the post originator. If nothing else, I tried my best to lighten the mood with a fun thread, to dissipate the tension started, by someone trying to aim HET club members against non HET members.



but no one says anything about that, do they? It's always hudsonkid's fault, huh? easy to blame him.

Yep. Now if ya wanta go over there 'n slug it out ya can, but if I don't want to, I can just stay over here, and get some help getting my car restored. Which is why I joined the club AND the forum in the first place.

Glad to see it. I was getting alittle tired of all the polls from whoever. I wish we could limit to Hudson and not some one asking about a Dodge or something they saw on e-bay Just my two cents worth, not aimed at anyone .
