My idea of a Hot Rod Hudson would be to keep some of the best of Hudson, such as the woodgrain dash, and then improve the rest. I find it hard to fall in love with a 4-door hot rod. I have seen some that when I truned the key, it turned me on; but, not this one---my humble opinion--It is a nice ride but like those of you above it is still to steep for my taste.0

Very cool car. I love a nice hot rod, but for that kind of money....I'd rather have a nice, cherry, stock Hudson. Hopefully mine will get there some day. Just my opinion.

It would be very difficult to build a quality modified for the asking price. I like it, personally, four-door or not.0

I think I got pictures of this car from Kustom Kemps in Biglerville a year or two back. If it is the same car, it has like a 53-4 chevy turn signals in front, painted, it looks okay....0

The variance in pricing this car is quite interesting. The posting on hudsoncollector is probably as close to the real price the owner will accept for the car, but the "buy it now" price on ebay is eight grand higher !!
In addition the $29,900 figure on hudsoncollector is OBO !! Looks like one has to be very carefull with what you wind up paying for stuff on ebay sometimes !!
In any event, I'm a "keep it stock" kind of Guy, so there's no chance I'd ever buy a car like that, but by the pictures, it looks like somebody spent a lot of dough doing this car, and the quality of workmanship seems pretty good. I doubt you'd be able to duplicate it for 30 grand.
To each his own I guess.

Well, the e-bay bidding has ended for this vehicle. It came in at $12,105.00 which is slightly more then I estimated. I was expecting it to be $9,000 to $12,000.0

WE've seen this one a few times at KK the last few years. I would not consider it a $50K or a $30K custom/rod. The engine is the best feature, but the car did not stand out (my perception) as you compare it to the others. This is one that I would think would have the same or more value as restored/stock (and I don't say that very often!) The color also didn't do much for me and I don't recall there was a lot of custom work and modifications. Real value in my opinion was about where the auction ended.0 -
It would have done better maybe 2 years ago.0

does anyone want to see more pictures of this car? I got some from 2005. I don't want to go thru the chore of resizing, and uploading if no one wants to see them. But if you do, sound off...0

Id like to see them.... looks neat for a rod....0
