Headliner

I have a 52 Hornet sedan that has an original interior except for the front carpet. The headliner is getting ratty at the rear window and I was thinking of replacing it. Where can I find a new headliner as close to the original as possible? Thanks

    Acme Auto Headlining Co., 550 West 16th St., Long Beach, CA 90813; 800/288-6078. They are reputable and I know at least one fellow who installed one in his '54 (while the rest of us watched!) and is happy with it.

    Another source is Chester & Herod, 1924 W. Mission Road, #F, Escondido, CA 92029, phone 1-800-659-9138. Talk to Jim. Acme's headliners are excellent, but you might want to compare swatch samples and prices. Kanter also offers headliners and will provide swatch samples. I have an Acme on my car and am happy with it.
