Q: Can I use a 212 thermostat housing on my 232 head, so the hose goes straight to the radiator?

    I am almost positive that the answer to this is "NO". Cut the one on the 232 in half and turn it. That is what we did on our old truck....

    I take it that there was no clearance problem with the fan? I would like to do the same with the 202 in the '39 but didn't know if the fan would clear the hose as the 212 thermo housing is at an angle.
