1937 Terraplane Vin #location

I know this is a question that will make me feel small but I have to ask.

Where is the vehicle ID number on the 1936 Terraplane?

I have to go into DMV soon to have the car identified for registration.

I know on my 37 Cadillac the engine# is also the vin # which makes it very confusing since a lot of old cars have different engines over 70+ years.

In 1937 it was on a small plate on the front passenger door post (hinge post, below windshield); I assume it would be the same in '36 unless the previous owner moved it.
