Ramblers - I can say for certain 1969 because I had the fun of changing one - used them on top of the springs, for lack of a better way of discribing it, rather than ball joints. They used ball joints at the bottom.

Interesting side story - I wanted to change both upper trunion and ball joints on the '69 Rambler I had at the time (1990). NAPA had the trunion, but nobody had the lower ball joint. The trunion was made by Rockwell and I found out later was used on forklifts.

  • Forklift parts used on AMC cars...funny. :D
  • No worse than Kaisers, forklifts with no forks! LOL
  • The Brake Mastercylinder from O'Reilly's is also listed as a forklift part.
It is identicle to the original that was on my 54 sedan. Mine was $62 tax and all.

Must have been where a lot of left over Hudson parts wound up - being used in forklifts - when the company merged.

  • Thanks Sam for the info!

I found some more on Ebay. Must be worth a little money. I have a barn full of this crap most of it unmarked but with very old part numbers from 1930-1970 so many seals bearinf valves a lot without packages. could be worth a lot if you could identify it all.
