36 Terraplane front drums

I'm watching here, Chris. Cause I'm gonna need to know too. I have one of those interchange crossover manuels but it doesn't cover drums. Looks like the brake shoes for 36T match the 36-40 Hudson six and that's about all...0

FYI
If you cant find drums perhaps consider doing like I did and install newer backing plates, lining & drums from a Stepdown (Hornet/Commodore) onto your '36 spindles. They are very large 2 1/4 x 11" brakes and discard the small 9" brakes. My Terraplane stops like it has Discs...
I recall they bolted right on using all Hornet parts except I had to utilize one brg from the Terraplane and add a slight Spacer (1/8 Grade 8 washer from Lowes) to compensate for spindle width difference.
People are adding Discs to Stepdowns and discarding their drum brakes

That's what I did on my '37. Changed the fronts only, to later -- larger -- drums, from a Hornet, I think. (Someone else did the actual work). Backing plates, shoes and drums were all it took. Kept the original back drums since the front ones do all the work. Saved the old front drums & backing plate, just in case I'd ever want to "keep it original".0
